Having started in Martial Arts at the age of 7 in 1972, Mr. Louis Nogueira has over 35 years of experience, 17 of which he has been as either an assistant instructor or head instructor. He has taught students ranging in ages from 4-65. Adults who train with Mr. Nogueira enjoy increasing endurance and stamina, self defense techniques and more. Many people whos lives depend on the type of training and self defense techniques such as Police Officers, Bouncers, Body Guards, Bounty Hunters, Special Units, Special Groups, and Correctional Officers have come to train with and become students of Mr. Nogueira

Mr. Nogueira received his Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do under the instruction of Grand Master Tae Soo Moon {Graduate of the Korean Yudo College of Tae Kwon Do and Judo in Korea} in 1983 and was an instructor for Master Moon for many years. He then continued his studies - training and received higher Black Belt rank promotions under Grand master Ho Soo Hwang {Graduate of the Korean Yudo College in Korea, Korean Military Kickboxing champion, Korean National Tae Kwon do champion, and currently Connecticut Tae Kwon Do Association President}. He has also studied under several other Masters and Grandmasters including: Master S. Kelly {England/USA}, Master J. Perreira {Brazil/USA} and Master D. Lockhart {Japan}.

Mr. Nogueira holds various Black Belt degrees in six different Martial Arts, Tae Kwon Do, Ju-Jitsu, Judo, Tang Soo Do {Moo Duk Kwan}, Bo-Do-Ki Ninjitsu, and Mugai Ryu Iaido {Traditional Samurai Sword}.

Mr. Nogueira has both National and International experience. The following is a partial summary of his accomplishments:

  • 3 TIME U.S. NATIONAL KARATE CHAMPION
  • 9 TIME STATE JUDO CHAMPION
  • 6 TIME NEW ENGLAND CHAMPION
  • 1996 BRONZE MEDALIST, U.S. NATIONAL JUDO CHAMPIONSHIPS
  • WORLDWIDE MARTIAL ARTS HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE
  • COMPETED FOR 15 YEARS IN CONTACT KARATE AND RETIRED IN 1993 WITH A RECORD OF 248 WINS AND 3 LOSSES IN STATE, REGIONAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS
  • WORLDWIDE MARTIAL ARTS HALL OF FAME, 2000 INSTRUCTOR OF THE YEAR AWARD
